The Bootstrap Grant is an entrepreneurial kick-start program designed for veteran caregivers who need to work from home in order to balance caregiving for their loved one and creating an additional source of income in the home.
The funds are to be used for business set up fees required by local and state.  Examples include; a business license, Employer Identification Number, fictitious business name statement and other fees required.  The grant is limited to sole proprietorships or a partnership as long as it is 51% owned by a caregiver of a veteran, although a veteran can be partial owner it is not required.  The grant is not for educational purposes.

Proof of service of the veteran providing care for will be required.  Do NOT send a DD2214.  Only letters generated from the Ebenefits website will be accepted.  Upload a copy of the Service Verification letter and the Benefit Verification letter.
